First step is to clear a 50x50 area. Removing all bush, trees, rocks and level the land for a proper base for the footing.
Construct a 30”x10” footing perimeter with triple rebar for re-inforcement. All utilities to be installed before pouring cement. (Hydro, septic, water, etc)
Time for pouring cement. Looking at 2 truck load. Good to have a few guys as the process only takes about one hour.

All utilities hidden in the insulated R30 crawl space. Furnace, HVAC, plumbing, water, electrical.
Log package ready for delivery
Once the floor base is done, the log package arrives at your destination on a 53’ semi. Driveway has to be able to allow semi driver to back-up up to the cabin location. A parking lot area is required for unloading.
10” pine logs with double t&g system covered with insulating tape is used. Great system to prevent air infiltration or moisture from happening. This system also lock each log in place. Special log home screws are also installed every 4’.
Raising the logs is made easier by having a few friends and a bobcat to help moving the longer logs. Some can easily be moved by one person but some can be quite heavy.

There are 3 support beam holding the LVL ridge beam on top. Normal eng. trusses rest on the LVL and top log. The half back section of the roof is raised by 5’ allowing for maximum ceiling height on the second floor loft.
Back of the cabin
The rear section of the cabin has a 36” ext door. 2 windows and possibly a 32” ext door on top loft. A 4’ log extension for a small deck is also available as option.

Cabin is now ready for shingles or metal roof (as extra option)
Loft log system
10” logs are used for the second floor loft. Then 2x6 t&g boards are used for flooring / ceiling coverage in one application.
